Today Matters

Living a life of missed opportunities is our greatest fear, right? We all need our lives to matter for something bigger than ourselves — we need our efforts and energy to not be in vain — we need it to matter. Thankfully, Jesus gives us the assurance it can.

When our love for God leads to a love for others, our lives matter.

How? Seek first the Kingdom and trust His promise to give you all the rest. Let your seeking lead to seeing the people in your life with compassion. Follow through with the doing — push through with courage and sacrifice and actually do what God has created you to do.

Our obedience has the power to bring heaven to earth — because Jesus’ obedience did. He came to do the will of the Father, to carry out the affairs of His Kingdom. In His obedience, in His doing, heaven touched earth.

When our love for God leads to a love for others, we can be assured our lives matter for something bigger — something eternal.
